Mt. Sarakura: 20分

From the top of the mountain, you can see a beautiful panoramic night view that looks like a jewel box.
It is a "10 billion dollar night view "that has been selected as one of the "New Three Great Night Views of Japan." The slope car that takes you to the top of the mountain is entirely made of glass, so you can enjoy the scenery while moving slowly.
There is no parking lot at the summit of Mt. Sarakura, so you cannot reach it by car. Please check the official website for the operating hours of the cable car and slope car.

Night-view of the factories: 30分

In addition to Mt. Sarakura, Kitakyushu City, where the hotel is located, has many night view spots.
Moreover,Kitakyushu City, as one of the leading industrial areas in japan, boasts the dreamlike sights of its factories lit up in bright.

Cruises where you can see the night view from the ship are also popular.（Operates from Kokura Port and Moji Port, advance reservation required）

Mojiko Retro: 35分

JR Mojiko Station,Former Moji Zeikan,Former Moji Mitsui Club etc.
This area is lined with buildings that retain the charm of the past.You can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Japan in the late 19th to early 20th centuries here.

"Mojiko Retro Observation Room", with an open atmosphere, provides a wonderful 270° panoramic view of the entire Mojiko Retro area and the Kanmon Strait from 103 meters high above.

Imperial Steel Works, Japan First Head Office: 15分

The Imperial Steel Works, Japan was registered as a World Heritage site in 2015. Although the inside of the facility is not open to the public, you can observe the exterior from a special viewing area.

Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History & Human History: 15分

One of the largest museums in western Japan.
The museum exhibits everything in a grandiose scale, including the birth of the earth until the present day and the evolution of life and nature. You can feel the full impact of the many world-class dinosaur skeletons on display.

Kawachi Wisteria Garden: 30分

The garden was chosen as one of Japan's 31 most beautiful places by America's CNN.
A total of 22 types of Wisterias bloom in spring and about 700 colorful trees will fill the garden with crimson foliage in fall.

Kokura Castle: 30分

The castle was built in 1602 by Hosokawa Tadaoki.It is a famous place for viewing cherry blossoms in spring.

Also, there is a stunning Japanese Garden next to the castle. Here, you can get exposed to Japanese culture such as Japanese manners and a Japanese tea ceremony.

Tanga Market: 25分

Tanga Market is Kitakyushu’s kitchen, and has continued since the Taisho era (1912-1926), with approx. 120 stores selling fresh fish, daily dishes, local traditional food "Nukadaki", and more.

Kitakyushu Manga Museum: 30分

It is located on the 5th and 6th floors of Aruaru City, a subculture information center.
The museum introduces visitors to all aspects of manga culture under the slogan, “Watch, read, draw.”
Perhaps the most popular part of the museum is the Browsing Area, a library containing approximately 50,000 titles.

Matsumoto Seicho Memorial Museum: 25分

Matsumoto Seicho, winner of the Akutagawa Prize (Japanese literary award), is undeniably Kitakyushu’s most famous modern writer.
This Museum paints a fascinating portrait of his life and the many works he left to this world during the four decades he was active as a writer.

Mikuni World Stadium Kitakyushu: 15分

Mikuni World Stadium Kitakyushu (Kitakyushu Stadium) opened on March 12, 2017 as a seaside/downtown stadium.
It holds approx. 15,300 spectators and has only an 8-m. distance from the front row seats to the touchdown line/goal line. The dynamic stadium immerses spectators in the viewing experience.

Itozu-no-mori Zoological Park: 30分

It is a lush park loved by citizens.
The park's Animal Zone, which houses elephants, giraffes, lions and tigers, allows visitors to experience how animals live in the wild, which is what makes this park so special.
There is also a Recreation Zone, which features amusements such as a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round and athletic equipment, as well as open spaces with lawns. Here, you can relax for the day and spend time as you please.

JR Mojiko Station: 30分

The station,which is designated as an important national cultural property,was restored in March 2019 to its former appearance when it was originally built in 1914.It includes restaurants and a cafe.

Kyushu Railway History Museum: 35分

This building was built in 1891 and used to be the former main office building of Kyushu Railway which was the first railway company in Kyushu.
There are real trains that were operated in the past and Railway Cultural Heritage on display. You can also be a motorman and operate a driving simulator inside a life-size replica train cab or inside a mini train.

Kanmon Bridge: 30分

This is an iconic rope bridge across the Kanmon Strait, connecting Moji-ku in Kitakyushu City and Shimonoseki City in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
This 1,068-meter-long bridge was the longest rope bridge in Asia when it was open to public use in 1973.

The bridge is illuminated at night, so you can also enjoy a dramatic view of the illuminated bridge.

Hiraodai Limestone Plateau: 40分

Hiraodai Limestone Plateau is counted among the 3 major karst formations in Japan and has been designated a natural monument, a quasi-national park, and prefectural natural park.
This area is also popular as a trekking trail.

Kurosaki Gion Festival: 15分

Kurosaki Gion Festival is a tradition spanning approx. 400 years held by parishioners of Kasuga, Okada, and Ichinomiya Shrines.

Yamakasa floats decorated with dazzling dolls parade around the Kurosaki District.
The spirited maneuvering of the floats, called kenka (fight) yamakasa, is a must-see.

Kokura Gion Festival: 20分

In this lively drum festival people parade through Kokura while beating drums attached to floats.
Adults and children alike participate in the festival's main attraction--a competition in which groups wearing matching happi coats perform traditional drumming.

Tobata Gion Festival: 20分

It is one of the three major summer festivals in Fukuoka Prefecture along with Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival and Kokura Gion Festival. The magical pyramids of light are overwhelming. It was registered as Intangible Cultural Heritage with UNESCO in 2016. The gathering of eight large yamagasas is a must-see.
