SHIPPOKU INFORMATION

The experience begins with "Ohire," a traditional soup made with sea bream meat and fins, served during banquets after the host's greetings and toast. Following this, a variety of aperatifs, appetizers, and entree dishes are presented. There are no strict dining rules - each dish is served in small portions, allowing guests to enjoy them at their own pace.

Nagasaki's Shippoku cuisine is a true reflection of the region's rich, diverse history. Influenced by China, Portugal, and the Netherlands, this unique culinary style evolved over time, creating a one-of-a-kind dining experience unlike any other in Japan.
